The Vision

After 250 years of God’s faithfulness to America, 10 years of continuous worship and prayer at David’s Tent DC, and seeing how God is generously working in America in 2025, we’ve been inspired by the Holy Spirit…

We want to bring a Thanksgiving offering50 hours of worship and prayer, one hour for each statein Jerusalem during the American Thanksgiving Holiday.

We seek to mobilize an envoy of America’s worshipping and praying people to give God a special offering of thanks.

We believe God for a breakthrough for both Israel and America as a result of these 50 hours.

Though we can worship God anywhere (John 4), there is only one place where Jesus’s throne will specifically be. (Ezekiel 43).  Jerusalem! Jerusalem! We believe this prayer strike carries an authoritative power to let the Father’s kingdom come and His will be done.

Why the dates of American Thanksgiving?

We recognize that the 4th Thursday of November is an American holiday, not a Biblical Jewish Feast. After pursuing Succat Hallel to schedule this event on Thanksgiving Day, we learned that it’s also Succat Hallel’s 21st anniversary as a 24/7 house of prayer in Jerusalem. Please know, we are in no way suggesting that the timing of the Biblical fall feasts has in any way been made null. We just sensed this is the right timing for us this year.

Operation "Thank You Jesus!”

November 26-28

Together with Succat Hallel, we will gather in brotherly partnership in their prayer room, looking at Mount Zion and the Temple for a 50-hour Thanksgiving Offering. It’s hard not to pray for the return of Jesus, looking out those windows.

I mean... check out this view ➡️

Here are some details:

The House of Prayer is for all people! Anyone from any nation is invited to participate; however, we are specifically organizing a Thanksgiving Envoy from America. We will give preference to those from the United States in leading worship and prayer—both those flying in along with Americans already dwelling in the land.

With Thanksgiving, make your requests known to God…

  1. A purposeful Thanksgiving Offering of thanks and praise for who He is and His faithfulness to America these past 250 years.  Jesus is Worthy!
  2. To bless and intercede for Israel.
  3. To intercede for the 50 States.
  4. To bless the praying watchmen keeping the prayer watches in Jerusalem, day and night.  (Is 62)
  • Wednesday, Nov 26 (3pm): Opening Ceremony and Consecration led by Rick and Patricia Ridings.
  • Wednesday, Nov 26 (4pm): The first hour of 50 straight.
  • Thursday, Nov 27, Thanksgiving Day (4:45pm-5:15pm): Half Time (Everyone back in the room)  STOKE THE FIRES!
  • Friday, November 28 (5pm): The 50th State/ Final Hour
  • Friday, November 28 (6pm-7pm): Closing Communion, Anointing and Commissioning – led by Rick and Patricia Ridings.

Yes, you’re right. That’s 52 hours in all.  Nehemiah is into 52!

Our suggestion to travelers: Let the prayer room be your epicenter during this 50-hour Thanksgiving Worship and Prayer Offering. Though we expect much coming and going as sleepiness/ jet lag hits people differently, we encourage all to support as much as energy permits.

Don’t just plan to lead your time of worship or prayer at your delegated time. Let’s press in, be available, and give it our all. Then, on Friday Night when we say, “Shabbat Shalom,” we will feel it!

To keep the “One Thing” our focus, please schedule time for touring Jerusalem (and Israel) before or after this offering.  Let’s keep our focus during these 50 hours and go for a breakthrough in the Spirit!

Thanksgiving Envoy

“With Thanksgiving, present your request to God.” - Phil 4:6

Each hour will include 30 minutes of song (or more) and the rest prayer. Similar to David’s Tent, the song will continue behind the prayer leader.

*As God speaks (leadings of the Holy Spirit, prophetic words, or specific guidance), words will be submitted to the leadership, who will weave that in as we sense agreement.

We expect God to speak to us!

Each State

Each hour will represent a state. For example, “This next hour is for the state of Maine!”

When possible, worship and prayer leaders will be delegated to their state’s hour.

The prayer leader should prepare (at a minimum):

  • a short prayer of Thanksgiving for what God is doing or what He has done in that state
  • a prayer of blessing or intercession for Israel
  • any short specific prayer points for that state.

Worship leaders

Each hour will have a worship leader.

This is a time of corporate worship.  Please lead the room.

Keep us praising!  The Lord inhabits our praise.

Let’s host Him well!

Music styles can vary. Some may be more hymn-driven from the piano. Others may be more rhythmic or a contemporary music team.

Be prepared to lead us in praise and play in the background while others pray.

Prayer leaders

Each hour will have a prayer leader.

Remember the David’s Tent saying: “Pray Short, Believe Long.”

Pray thankful. Pray scripture.  Pray Big.

Please lead in a way that helps others in the room participate if they’d like.

Refrain from long sermons, prophecies, or testimonies, other than what’s necessary to lead the room in agreement with the worship and prayer.

These 50 hours are meant to be a more vertical incense unto the Lord.

In the spirit of the tabernacle of David, a musician or team will carry the song before the Lord at all times.

Applications and sign-ups will be handled by the David’s Tent DC administration team.

God honors big prayers, because big prayers honor God.

Please try to arrive into Israel on Tuesday November 25.

How to Get Here

Each person will be responsible for making their own arrangements to and from Jerusalem. First-time visitors? Please reach out to the David’s Tent team for advice or get matched with someone who has gone before.

Fly into: Tel Aviv airport.

From the airport: Taxi, rent a car, or catch a train to Jerusalem. The easiest way is to take the train. They go every hour, sometimes every half hour. It’s a 22-minute fast train to Jerusalem (only one stop, your destination).  The train cost is about 20 Shekels/person ($5-10)

Note: Sherut’s from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem are no longer available now that the train is finished.

From the train station: Get readily available taxis to your accommodations for around 80-90 shekels ($25-$30). If you travel with others, you can split the cost.

Where to Stay

To keep it affordable for some, we will not all be staying at the same place. Here are some options:

  1. Roughing it!  The David’s Tent Team can help steer you to some ministry partners that may have more affordable “missionary, youth hostel, dormitory” housing between $45 and $60/night/person. Please do NOT plan to “spend the night” at the house of prayer for the 50 hours. At Succat Hallel, let us be fully engaged and have housing accommodations elsewhere. For housing suggestions, email events@davidstentdc.org
  2. Hotel: For those who can pay more, we are getting information for group rates at a hotel near Succat Hallel. Revisit this webpage for updates.
  3. Airbnb is a great way to stay. We encourage you to go for it!

Where to Eat

Some places may offer you breakfast with your stay, and it’s not hard to find food in Jerusalem! Here are some suggestions

Super Deal Supermarket Grocery Store (Hebron Rd 28): This grocery store is easy for Americans to navigate and has more “American” grocery choices. It’s very close to Succot Hallel and easy to find on Google Maps.

The First Station (David Remez St 4): There are several restaurants at The First Station food court area, and only a five-minute walk from Succat Hallel.

Aroma Expresso Bar: For coffee folks and more.  There are several of these around Israel and tend to be a comfort for American palates!

On Hebron Street, there are 24-hour markets nearby Succat Hallel.

There are many places to eat during the day in the old city, just inside the Jaffa Gate.

The Bonus Prayer Tour!

After the 50-hour offering is over (at 7pm, November 28), you are free to stay or leave at any time. For those who would like to participate in an organized Worship and Encounter Tour, David’s Tent is partnering with Throne Room Ministries International (Joseph and Cindy Mathew) to make this opportunity happen. It will be filled with worship, not just a tour!

Joseph and Cindy will be leading this, starting Saturday Morning, November 29.
